WARATH MAYFIELD RUGBY LEAGUES CLUB - UPDATE

After several inspections and reports from Engineers and Builders the unfortunate reality is that the Waratah site will not re- open as a licensed premise.

Major structural defects that relate back many years to previous damage after a fire have seen Engineers and Builders raise serious concerns as to the safety of the site even allowing for roof repairs being carried out.

Early quotes for remedial work soon escalated into the area of unmanageable amounts and with the club still losing money prior to the unfortunate Easter roof collapse the board had no other option but to cease trading and look to winding the company up.

Early indications are that a sale of the property may be on the agenda.
